We DO NOT collect, store or use any personal information while you visit, download or upgrade our products. We may use personal information submitted by you only for the following purposes: help us develop, deliver, and improve our products and services and supply higher quality service; manage online surveys and other activities you’ve participated in. We may collect and use non-personal information in the following circumstances. To have a better understanding in user’s behavior, solve problems in products and services, improve our products, services and advertising, we may collect non-personal information such as installed application name and package name, the date of install, frequency of use, country, equipment and channel. If non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
AreaViz does not require an account and does not offer sign-in. We do not operate a server that relays your conversations. The app talks directly to the AI provider you selected using the API key you registered.
API keys you register are stored in the Keychain on your device. If you enable iCloud Keychain, Apple syncs them to your other devices under Apple's iCloud security. Keys are sent only to the provider that issued them (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) as part of your requests and are never transmitted to BoardTack. You can view, replace, or delete a key at any time in the app's settings; deleting a key removes it from the Keychain.
Text you write, attached images, and screenshots are stored in the app's local database on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database through CloudKit. When you send a message, the relevant conversation content—including a summary of earlier messages and recently attached images—is transmitted to the AI provider you chose so that it can generate a reply. Each provider processes that content under its own privacy policy (see below). BoardTack does not receive or store your conversations.
Pro purchases are processed by Apple. The app checks your purchase status through Apple's StoreKit and keeps the date you registered your first API key, in the Keychain and in your private iCloud database, to determine the free trial period. No payment details are visible to BoardTack.
The AreaViz app sends your requests directly to the AI providers whose API keys you register, and each provider's privacy policy applies to the content you send. You can find more detailed information through the links below:
AreaViz will occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do so, we will also revise the "last updated" date of the privacy statement. Your privacy is important to AreaViz.
